New Album: Jeff Cascaro - Love & Blues in the City

21. August 2017 - 14:43 -- Steffen Mayer

Jeff Cascaro is releasing his new album „Love & Blues in the City“ on September 29th. JC: “The time was ripe to record a more jazzy and intimate album. I wanted to put a stronger emphasis on the voice and its delicacies.” In contrast to his previous soul-jazz recordings (Soul Of A Singer, The Other Man, Mother And Brother), Love & Blues in the City offers a subtle, laid-back feeling, with touches of classic jazz phrasing and artistry. A classic quartet recording, providing each performer with plenty of well-deserved creative space.

Groove Galore - Daniel Stelter comes up with new album!

17. February 2012 - 16:51 -- Timothy Davies
On his new album ‘Krikelkrakel’, Daniel Stelter links to the tone colour he developed on his last CD ‘Homebrew Songs’ (both released on Herzog Records). This music has its roots in Cool Jazz, Mississippi Blues and subtly rough, rolling grooves and those are not explicitely made for inveterated jazz fans! Well defined melodies as well as comprehensible musical structures that are reduced to the essential – that’s the key to lead the four energetic and adventurous musicians to come down to business!
